You don't have to be an extroverted person to be a marketer!

  • If you can write creative captions on social media, you could be a marketer [Social Media Marketing]
  • If you can design a catchy poster, you could be a marketer [Graphic Design]
  • If you can plan and execute an event, you can be a marketer [Event Management]
  • If you can analyze the data and drive insights into strategies, you could be a marketer [Data Analytics]
  • If you can produce Tiktok video and make it go viral, you could be a marketer [Video Marketing]
Therefore, as a marketer, the sky should be your limit.

We are going to have amazing speakers like Co-Founder at Sugar Sheet Paper & Managing Partner at Social Print Paper LTD., Director of Marketing Operations at Acquire, Training Facilitator at Lululemon & Co-Owner of Unfold Movement, and Communications Manager at North Vancouver School District.

Panellists will first answer a set of prepared questions and then student attendees will get the opportunity to ask important questions such as what are the emerging skills student should equip, what are the different opportunities available at corporate/non-profit for marketers. Those questions could also help students to determine whether Marketing is the right concentration.

Luque Wang - Director of Marketing Operations at Acquire.
Strategic Growth Marketing professional with over ten years of proven success in leading Marketing Operations, Marketing Automation, GTM strategies, business analytics, technological innovations, and digital transformation that drove marketing excellence and business growth. Luque holds several Marketing Automation Certifications, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, and an MBA from Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
 
Arianne Liu - Training Facilitator at Lululemon & Co-Owner of Unfold Movement.
Arianne is a human resource and marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in relationship building, development and branding. Arianne is also the co-founder and owner of Unfold Movement, a trauma-informed personal training service. She also co-founded and led a brick-and-mortar fitness studio in Burnaby Heights for 6 years. Arianne is also a full-time training facilitator with lululemon.
