Tourism Hiring Fair 2023

In collaboration with the Career Development Centre, the School of Tourism Management and Outdoor Recreation is hosting an in-person Tourism Hiring Fair on Thursday,  March 23, 2023.

IMPORTANT!

• Registration is mandatory to attend the Hiring Fair on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Only 200 spots are available due the space limitations.
• Students must select only one 60-min time slot from the available slots on Eventbrite. Stay tuned for the registration link!

Registered students can only attend the event during the allocated time slot listed on the ticket. Arrive 10 minutes before the entry time listed on your ticket to allow time to check in and visit all booths.

If you are unable to attend the event, please cancel in advance! No-shows are subject to a $50 fee charged to your student account.

Registration deadline: Wednesday, March 22, by 4:00 pm PST (subject to change based on the availability of the tickets)
 
This event will allow you to:

• Network with representatives from a broad spectrum of companies;
• Practice your interview skills and develop your job search strategy;
• Learn about potential internships and career opportunities in your industry;
• Submit your resume directly to the company's recruiters.

The student orientation will occur on March 16 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm PT. Please register here.

This session will cover the following topics:

• Ideas on advance preparation and maximizing your efforts at a hiring fair.
• Tips for networking with representatives during an event.
• Hiring fair dos and don'ts.
• Steps to take after a hiring fair.
